PA Timber Frame
When a friend of a good friend calls you from PA and asks for a frame, you get excited to take a project on the road! We designed this frame and cut it in the shop with Adirondack materials, loaded it up on a truck, and went down to PA. There, the homeowner not only fed and lodged us onsite, but had a major hand in the raising! He even came up to the shop for a day to help cut joints! The frame was a challenging one with it going on a existing foundation on a tight site. A crane was able to stage itself between our flat area for putting bents together and the deck, which was perfect. We left once the roof decking was up, and the homeowner took over finishing off the project. Later, we made a package of curved overhang brackets for the Pent roof over the garage doors and an entrance door that the homeowner installed. We would definitely go back down to PA!
